As Project Architect, I ran the refurbishment of this 4th floor apartment from Concept to Completion. A year of negotiations with the freeholder allowed us to completely strip the apartment out and carry out the necessary structural changes required to create a large living area previously taken up by 3 rooms. The remainder of the apartment layout was also changed. We completely re-serviced the apartment and upgraded the sub-structure to comply with the latest Building Regulations and to improve its environmental impact. We produced the necessary documents for a competitive tender, assessed the returns, negotiated and awarded the contract; and carried out all of the Contract Administration during the construction phase.
